Kelyfos is a premium food company cultivating pistachios in the fields close to the ancient town of Megara.
The brand name comes from the Greek word “kelyfos,” which means the hard exterior shell, which protects the nuts. Just like the “kelyfos” keeps nuts safe, the visionaries of this brand take care of their precious trees, consistently with the aim of offering to their consumers only the best of the best.
Inspired by the greatness of nature, the logo illustrates perfectly the majestic ripening process of the nut, when the shell abruptly splits partly open.
Design is all about the details. That’s why a hidden, lying “K,” which is the initial of the word “Kelyfos,” functions as a solid base for the logo, perfectly illustrating the brand’s narrative.
When humans respect nature, its gifts are generously multiplying. Following their ancestors' example, as shown in ancient vessels, the people at “Kelyfos” insist on handpicked harvest to protect both the tree and the nut.
Inspired by ancient history and social life, human figures come to life on the packaging, creating a more anthropocentric look and feel.
The pistachio trees and nuts offered the main inspiration for the color palette. The green color serves as a creative hint to the customer that the packaging encloses raw pistachios fresh and known for their nutritional quality. Accordingly, the purple color is ideal for the roasted pistachios’ packaging and imprints their slightly more intense taste and appearance, characteristics that make them a perfect snack.
